In June, the conference of the Swiss Archaeology Network will take place in the canton of Geneva. It will focus on the interactions between our discipline and the territory. These interactions are complex and raise practical, theoretical, economic and political questions; yet they are still little researched, especially in Switzerland. This issue of arCHaeo aims to contribute to filling this gap, whereby the two urban cantons of Geneva and Basel-Stadt serve as examples.
